We recommend you book your trial for around for about 6 weeks before you’re wedding. All trials will take place in my salon, Red Hairdressing, Liskeard, PL14 3JA.  To book an appointment, contact us here.
Please ensure this appointment is organised well in advance. I usually offer these on Wednesday’s between 9.15am -1.15pm  I’m afraid I don’t offer rehearsals on a Saturdays as I save these days for weddings.  I understand it is not always possible to have a hair trial if you live far away so i can always offer a zoom call to discuss your requirements.

It is not essential for bridesmaids or any of the other bridal party to have a trial but i can offer this if necessary.
I usually book out around 75 minutes for a hair rehearsal. Please come with picture, accessories, and veil if possible. Wash your hair the night before and blow dry, try not to straighten or curl.

Wear a white top so you can get an idea of what your hair will look like against this. I advise to look at inspiration pictures of people with the same colour hair as you so it gives you a realistic idea of how your hair could look.

Think about clip-in human hair extensions if you need additional length or thickness. Especially if wanting hair down. These also help to hold the curl.
Please don’t bring lots of people with you to your rehearsal we recommend just one person as lots of options can cause delays.

Hair up styles

Wash your hair the night before, we recommend you shampoo your hair twice then apply conditioner to mid lengths and ends only. Please ensure you rinse the conditioner out thoroughly. Your hair needs to be clean to ensure the best possible outcome on the day.

Be aware

Please do not apply any products and Blow dry your hair but do not straighten or curl it, if we arrive and your bridal party have wet hair this may result in limited appointment time on the day as we do not factor this in. Hair must be dried fully

Blow Dry's

Blow dry’s: For anyone having a blow dry please ask them to wash their hair on the morning, this is the only time the hair may be kept wet when we arrive.

Be ready

Please ensure everyone has showered and is ready to start at the agreed time, any lateness will result in us having to cut appointment time down and therefore may result in changes of styles to accommodate this.

Keeping time

We don’t do a schedule as we sometimes must work round makeup artists, but we do have allocated times for each service, to ensure the morning runs smoothly, please ensure your bridal party are aware of this and everyone is in the same room ready for us when we need them.

Sensible wear

Wear a button up top or dressing gown to ensure you are not disturbing your hair when getting changed.
